Melissa Frances Blog Feature!!!!

Hi There!!

I am so excited to share that I have been featured on the Melissa Frances Blog!!!

I absolutely LUV Melissa Frances products so I am so honoured that they chose to share some of my projects!!

I made a party hat & loot bag for my baby girl Evie's birthday party. I will be sharing a step by step on how to make the party hat very soon!

I just loved how these turned out! I thought the party hat was so cute but of course Evie wouldn't wear it & tried to rip it off her head again & again! This is the best photo I got of her with my Hubby holding the hat above her head. It is not the best photo!

The blog also featured a LO I have already posted but I will show u again!

Fith Avenue is the dreamiest collection!

Better make it a Double!

Hi There!

Throughout my scrapping journey I have noticed a massive decline of double pages being scrapped by myself! When I first started scrapping they were all double pages but now I find them sooooooooo hard to do!

Last weeks Scrapz.Biz theme was Encounters with the wild. My LO was based on a trip to the zoo. I had so much journalling to write that I decided to give a double LO a go to fit it all in. I really had to tell the tale of the frisky tortoise & the crazy gorilla so that we could laugh at the stories in years to come. Here is what I came up with
Bo Bunny zoology was the perfect collection to use for a zoo page
A double LO was fun to do but.............. I think I will still 'save' them for when I have a long story to tell LOL!
Here is a sneaky peak at my Fetch A Sketch challenge that has just gone up today.
Come on over & join the fun! Remember each challenge you complete throughout the whole month gives you 1 entry into the draw to win a $25 Scrapz.Biz voucher & a $10 voucher for the runnerup. There are so many inspirational challenges (a new challenge goes up daily!) at Scrapz.Biz plus Heike has a great range of products that you could be spending your winning voucher on!!

VERY VERY excited to share a feature with you ............... but I can't tell you till the weekend! I can say though that it is one of my absolute FAV manufacturers that will feature a new project of mine on their blog. YAY!!

A big thanx to all the beautiful comments that you leave me. It really makes my day to see a new comment posted XX

Once Upon A Sketch & Prima November BAP

Hi There!

This is my entry for the new sketch at Once Upon A Sketch. The journalling criteria was to write focus on yourself any woman & journal what the best part of being a woman is. I used a photo of my 2 girls & journalled 'The best thing about being a girl is raising girls. I am so happy to have 2 beautiful daughters to share that special bond that only a mother & daughter know"
I felt a little guilty journalling this as I had left out my little man Hunter! I do love u too Buddy!!

I recently read an article of an increase in SMOGS (Smug Mothers Of Girls!) Apparently more & more people have gender envy & crave to have a girl. As a Mum to a boy & 2 girls I think I am lucky to enjoy the best of both sexes. But really I think I am lucky to have 3 HEALTHY kids.

But back to my journalling. I was really thinking about the lovely relationship I shared with my Mum growing up (&still do) & I can't wait to continue the journey with my own girls!

This is the sketch designed by Nadia Cannizzo

And this is my entry
The background paper is Teresa Collins & the beautiful striped paper is MME Lost & Found. The flowers are a mix of Prima, Kaisercraft & Bo Bunny. The frame is by Glitz.
For the chipboard alphas I painted them white & stamped using a script stamp in Staz On Timber Brown. I then applied some Tim Holtz crackle accent in Rock Candy to give that vintage worn look.

I handmade this pin using some beads & svwaroski crystals
A close up of my journalling.

I have also had a go at the Prima BAP for the first time. This was the sketch
Prima_sketch2011_g
And this was my entry
I have used the Prima Pixi Glen collection. I used a technique that Ingvild Bolme recently shared in her class. I white washed the background then sprayed a small amount of mist & used a baby wipe to blend it in. This gives a soft layer of colour in the background.
A close up of the delicious resins that I am so in LUV with!
I fussy cut this border from the Pixi Glen collection & blotted some roses with a baby wipe which had som emist on it for just a hint of colour.

This is a little sneak of my challenge from last week over at Scrapz.Biz.
My new challenge will be up on Thursday. If you love sketches then come check it out.!!

A pretty palette

Hi There!

Just wanted to share a colour palette I put together for the Scrap A Rainbow challenge over at Scrapz.Biz the other week.
Pink, white & green is one of my fav combos that I love to use. It is so girly & pretty!
I have used Echo Park Victoria Garden collection

Kaisercraft flowers & Prima bling
The pink alphas are Pink Paislee Wood Shop (Timber). This comes in a raw chipboard which you can paint, ink, stamp, emboss. They are sooooo versatile you can really do anything with them!

My Creative Sketches Big Sketch comp #2

Hi There!

My Creative Sketches are still running the BIG sketch comp. Sketch #2 is up on the blog! The prize is again FANTASTIC!! It is so drool worthy I just had to show u a pic of it
Prima, Websters Pages, Dusty Attic, The Scrapcake. YUM YUM!!
Here is the sketch

And here is my take on the sketch

Yep I am still loveing the Websters Pages All About Me collection!
I have used a Dymo labeller to journal a little bit about my Spunky guy Hunter. You can see a close up of the Websters Bloomer & the Prima antique mirror which was also included in the kit!

I have used a Crafters Workshop template & texture paste for the brick wall masking. To add some colour I sprayed a soft blue glimmermist & splashed some black glimmermist for contrast
I used another CW template & inked a little flourish.

So tell me is anyone else a hoarding freak like me? I often buy things that I am in LUV with then can't bring myself to use them. I keep 'saving' things (saving for what I have no idea!!) So I decided to do a LO using my freakish hoard stash of products I am in LUV with!

Graphic 45 Once Upon A Springtime was a collection I just HAD to have. I loved the whimsical charm & the gorgeous colours of this collection. I thought it would match perfectly with my new photos of Evie so it just had to come out of the freakish hoard stash!

Prima resins & the little puffs are the new luv of my life & I bought a bundle when they were released. So what did I do once the post man had delivered my goods? Thats right into the hoard stash they went. It was time for a quick intervention while they are still the new 'in' thing to use!

I used a new Kaisercraft Timeless stamp & dressed up some fussy cut images with kindyglitz & liquid pearls

Some ribbon & lace were added for good measure!

Another fussy cut fairy dressed up with some Kindyglitz & Liquid pearls in pink petal

The flocked rub on is Prima, the gorgeous large flower is Prima  & the small rose is Kaisercraft

BITW & a shabby chic sketch

Hi There!

Last week I showed you a sneaky peak of a challenge that I had done for Scrapz.Biz . I want to share the LO in full & also the very first sketch that I have designed myself which this LO is based on!
I have  used a gorgeous Basic Grey Doily paper as a background with some more Melissa Frances 5th Avenue.
I painted this gorgeous chipboard bird & used a fine glitter on top with some pink petal liquid pearls to finish it off
I LUV this Prima flower. The extra beading just gives it that WOW factor!
You can find all products used on this LO at the Scrapz.Biz online store . Don't forget it is only $5.95 flat rate postage!

Here is the very first sketch I have designed myself! I can't get enough of sketches! I would love to see your work if this sketch inspires you!

On to my latest entry for Bird is the word. The new word is wish

I adore this photo of my 2 gorgeous girls. I am sure you will all agree how difficult it is to get good shots of more than 1 child at a time! I have used some Creative Imaginations paper & die cuts, Petaloo flowers, Prima vine & some vintage paper I scored at the Op Shop!

I have journalled on 2 tags that I inked & roughly stamped. " I wish you both a long happy, healthy life. I wish you both the strength& confidence to go out & achieve what you want in life. I love you both so much & I hope ou both keep the strong bond you already have."
I found the orange polka dot vintage paper at my local Op Shop. It is on a big roll & has such a gorgeous weathered look to it. I was so excited when I found it!

Getting excited! Ingvild Bolme Prima class is only 5 more sleeps!
