Scrap The Boys Challenge

Hi There!

Wow 2 post in 1 day! I forgot to post my entry for Scrap the Boys earlier & the deadline is tonight so here it is! The criteria was to include red on the page with some handwritten journalling & use the title 'life is good'

This is a little bit different to my usual style but last night I was in the mood to play with some texture paste, mists & inks!

I used Crate Paper Toy Box collection starting off with a nice neutral wood grain page. I then used my Crafters Workshop chevron mask with some texture paste. When the paste dried I sprayed some Candy Apple Red glimmermist using Studio Calicio Mr Hueys intertwined circles mask.

The large alphas are Pink Paislee Expressions Wood Shop Timber. They are just a raw chipboard alpha in the pack. I painted these with gesso then sprayed gold glimmermist then torquise mist lightly. I inked the edges roughly in black ink. Used some saphire glimmermist to splat. I used a Kaisercraft stamp to get the grid pattern. I still wanted a bit more colour as the mist had soaked into the chipboard a little bit so I used a yellow & torquise Prima ink & roughly smudges some colour onto the alphas.

Well thats it for today!
Thanks for looking!

Hi There!

Well finally the big day come that Graphic 45 announced the Design Team for 2012..................... Unfortunately I didn't make the cut this time round.  I would like to send a huge congratulations to the wonderfully talented 15 members who did make the 2012 team. Well done to you all!!

To the other 14 that didn't make it like me I know how you feel! A bit sad, a bit disappointed but really I think we should all be proud we made the Top 30 finalists in the first place! Thank you so much to Graphic 45 for taking me along for the ride through the Top 30. It was lots of fun & very exciting! I will certainly be giving it another go next year!

Here is a LO I made for the 2nd round for G45. I need to take some better photos of my other 2 projects before I post them!
This is G45 Travelogue collection. I have used lots of layers of paper & some of the chipboard images

MME Follow Your Heart

Hi There!

I have been having fun playing with my March LE Kit from MCS. It was filled with MME Follow Your Heart. I absolutely adore this collection! I luv the hexagon patterns &the gorgeous pastel colours throughout the papers. I have scrapping pages for my new SIL's wedding album. I have entered the current MME blog 33 challenge
Based on this sketch
MME2012_sketch_layout03_thumb[1]

The layered stickers in this collection are so pretty! The flowers are Prima tiny tots. These are so cute!
The mini alphas are Glitz Design & the pnk alphas are Prima. I have weaved some ribbon through the apper doily to add some more colour

Hexagons appear to be the next big trend at the moment. I have fussy cut these hexagons from one of the patterned papers. I distressed & inked them & stuck half down with foam tape to give a bit of texture to the page

This next LO is for the new Scrap the Girls Blog Challenge. The criteria this month is to scrap a photo celebrating something. I chose to scrap a wedding photo

I have hand cut some banners as well as using a chipboard banner from the Follow your heart collection. The buttons are also part of Follow your heart.
The doily's are fussy cut from one of the patterned papers. The alphas are Prima

Kaisercraft Saturday Sketch March #2 & a G45 Sneak Peak

Hi There!

First up I have just completed a LO using the sketch over at Kaisercraft for Saturday Sketch March #2. This is the sketch

& my take on it
Doesn't Evie look like such a cutie pie in her Flower girl dress! I have used the MCS Feb LE Kit again which was full of Kaisercraft SweetNothings
I fussy cut the cameo & framed it with a Prima Metal Treasure Frame
I used my Cuttlebug embossing folder again for some texture & layered some Prima bling & a LYB doily

Last week I ran a Scrap A Rainbow challenge over at Scrapz.Biz. I chose a bright & colourful palette to play with
(Inspiration pic from Pinterest)

I made this cute little card

I have used Crate Paper Random & Echo Park Victoria Garden

I made the flowers using Prima hydrangas & Crate Paper Random Brads

As promised I said I would post a couple of sneaky peaks of my 3 projects I submitted for the final stage of the Graphic 45 DT call. I tell you what I have never scrapped & felt so sick at the same time!! I was sooooooooo nervous but I am really happy with the end result. March 30 can't come quick enough!!

Project 1
This is a LO using Travelouge collection. It is very true to my style with lots of layers & fussycutting!

Project 2
I made some bunting as decor for Evie's room using a combination of Once Upon a Springtime & Little Darlings. It is very whimsical & girly

Project 3
This is a Baby's firsts milestone book using the Little Darlings collection. This book is very shabby chic full of lace, fussy cuts & chipboard pieces

& last of all I just wanted to share a pic of my gorgeous little nephew Ryder. He is now 3 weeks old & a total cutie pie! Can't wait to scrap some baby pics of him!

Thanx for looking!

My Creative Sketches has just revealed the March Sketch! Go check it out & get yourself in the draw for this Fabbo prize full of My Minds Eye

Here is the sketch created by Kim Keane

& my take on it

I have used Kaisercraft sweet nothings collection which was part of the MCS Feb LE Kit. The seam binding is from my LSS Scrapbook Sinners
I pulled out my embossing files which I have not used in ages. I really like the texture it gives.

I have used stickles & liquid pearl around the edges of the circles. The scalloped doilies are vintage finds from the OP Shop!

Catching Up

Hi There!

I have just got back from a little trip to Adelaide. My little Brother just got married & myself & the kids had the honour of being in the bridal party. The kids looked gorgeous & I have heaps of pics to scrap. HOORAY!

I seem to be having an awesome run of luck a the moment! I have just seen that I won the February blog challenge over at Websters Pages. My prize was a paper collection of my choice so I chose Everyday Poetry. Woohoo Can't wait to get it!! I was also happy to have my LO selected as Top 5 for the February blog challenge over at Glitz designs. Check out the post here. Thankyou so much ladies! & I had the honour of LOTW over at MCS! Thankyou Luzma for choosing my LO!

On to scrapping. Here is my challenge from 2 weeks a go over at Scrapz.Biz. The them for the week was tape so I chose to use some good ol masking tape to print some journalling onto.

I have used Prima Romantique, Prima flowers, Prima trinkets & alphas

I also stamped some images directly onto the masking tape which kind of makes your own washi tape!
Luv the metal Prima trinket!

This next LO is from last month for my Scrap It Blind challenge at Scrapz.Biz
I have tried something a bit different by creating a double page LO but not in a shape form

This is my page as double

A close up of the centre

& how it looks when the double page flaps over to turn it back into a single page. I scanned the images from Websters Pages Yacht Club pages & enlarged them before printing.

The journalling was printed on acetate sheet

I have used some texture paste, paint & done some stamping & misting on the background. The black roses are a digital brush from Websters Pages printed onto acetate sheet
My 3 final projects have been shipped off to G45 last week! I will post a few sneak peaks next week. I was really happy with how they turned out! I have never been so nervous scrapping before LOL! All I can do now is cross everything & think positive thoughts!

Well if u made to the end a BIG pat on the back for u!!

Thanx for looking!
Cheers
